What is a ChromeWhore anyway?
ChromeWhore -n : (krom hôr) - An individual who is compelled for reasons unknown to bolt every piece of chromium plated metal he or she can find onto their bike. Resulting in a truely obscene display of BLING. Chromewhores usually find themselves deep in debt with credit card bills through the roof, and many times divorced.
Can anyone sign up?
Yes anyone can sign up even if you don't have a bike!
Does it cost anything?
Nope! ChromeWhore is completely free... unless you want to buy something.
How does registration work?
Just click register under the login box on the main page. You will recieve an email shortly so be sure and use a REAL email address.
Then click the link in the email and it's all done. Your ChromeWhore login and your ChromeWhore Forums login and password will be the same.
What if I forgot my password?
No problem. Just click on resend password under the login box on the main page. You will recieve an email that will allow you to reset your password.
How do I upload my photos?
Login to the site and go to My Garage. If you have not already entered your bike details, complete the form and click Save Changes.
To add your photos, click the Add link above an empty image slot. This will open a new window with a form. Click the Browse button
and locate the image on your hard drive you would like to upload. Once you've found the image, click the
Upload Image button once. The image will be transfered to the site and sized accordingly. Please be sure
your file sizes are under 1 megabyte.
Can I link to the photos in "my garage" so I can use them for my sig pics on other forums.
Of course! Click the "Create link to your profile" button under the description box in your garage. You'll get the HTML code for the ChromeWhore banner that says "Vote for My Bike". When people click that banner they are taken to your bike gallery and can vote for you there.
How do you determine the Rating?
ChromeWhore.com uses a weighted rank formula:
weighted rank (WR) = (v / (v+m)) * R + (m / (v+m)) * C
where:
R = average for the bike (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the bike = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 10
C = the mean vote across the bike category
How can I see who's winning?
Just click on current standings. This will display the top 10 cruisers and top 10 sport bikes at that time. Note that a bike
must have at least 10 votes before it is eligible for a Top 10 listing.
